Nothing leaves your phone

Effective October 10, 2026 · Applies to Sprig — Plant ID, Offline for iPhone · Published by Kebzi Haus, Toronto, Canada

Summary

Sprig does its work on your iPhone. It has no account, makes no network connections, and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs. We don’t collect any information about you, so we have nothing to sell or share.

What stays on your device

  • Camera frames. When you point the camera at a plant, each frame is analysed on your iPhone by a model built into the app. Frames are not stored and never leave the phone.
  • Plants you keep. If you keep a plant, Sprig saves its photo, name and your care details inside the app on your iPhone.
  • Widget. The home-screen widget reads those same plant details from the app on your phone.

We cannot see any of this. There is no copy on our side.

Permissions and why

  • Camera, so Sprig can identify plants and photograph the ones you keep. You can turn it off in Settings › Sprig › Camera; identification won’t work without it.
  • Notifications (optional), only if you turn on watering reminders. Reminders are scheduled by the app on your iPhone; no server sends them.

Purchases

Sprig Care is sold as an in-app subscription through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment and your Apple ID under Apple’s privacy policy. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks whether you have an active subscription using Apple’s system purchase features on your device.

Third parties and network

None. Sprig makes no network requests of its own and includes no third-party code that collects data. The only outside service involved is Apple, when you choose to buy or restore a subscription.

Children

Sprig is not directed to children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

  • Deny or turn off camera or notification access at any time in Settings.
  • Delete the app to erase everything it stored: kept plants, their photos and your care details. This cannot be undone, because there is no other copy.
  • Cancel a subscription in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If Sprig ever starts collecting anything, we will say so here before that version ships.
